Corsair is again revolutionising the PC case industry with the new AIR 5400 triple-chamber mid-tower case. If you’ve been around the PC-building scene for a while, you might remember the original Corsair AIR 540 released in 2013 that popularized the dual-chamber design, separating hot components for a cleaner look and better airflow.

The new AIR 5400 takes that same philosophy and pushes it further with an entirely new triple-chamber layout that aims to redefine cooling efficiency and aesthetics for modern systems. As someone who’s built PCs for years, I can tell you that airflow and thermals are everything when you start packing in high-end components.

The significant feature of the new Corsair AIR 5400 is the triple-chamber design, which is a first of its kind for a mainstream ATX mid-tower. The case isolates the CPU, GPU, and power supply into separate zones. The new addition is the dedicated CPU cooling chamber at the front, which is designed to house a 360mm AIO radiator.

Most cases mount the AIO at the top, meaning the cooler pulls in air that’s already been warmed by the GPU. The AIR 5400 fixes this issue by allowing the radiator to pull in fresh air from the front and immediately exhaust the warm air out of the chamber. It’s a smart design that lets your CPU and GPU cool independently, avoiding thermal interference.

The prototype of this design already won multiple “Best of Computex 2025” awards. After all, this new design completely revolutionised how airflow should work inside a PC.

Corsair AIR 5400 features dual airflow ducts for continuous cooling

Corsair has clearly obsessed over airflow with this mid-tower case. The AIR 5400 features dual airflow ducts, where one is located at the top and the other at the bottom of the main chamber. The bottom duct is fully functional, channeling cold air from three pre-installed reverse-rotor fans directly into the GPU zone. This counters the fan vortex effect that often reduces cooling efficiency in traditional layouts.

Meanwhile, the top duct is primarily for aesthetic purposes that maintain visual symmetry, but also supports optional fans. The case can easily handle a 430mm long GPU, meaning massive cards like the RTX 4090 can also comfortably fit inside.

This new triple-chamber mid-tower case has a wraparound tempered glass exterior that swings open on hidden hinges. It gives you easy access to your build from nearly any angle. It’s a practical design for anyone who frequently upgrades their build.

The third chamber houses your PSU, drives, and cables, which keeps them completely hidden. Corsair’s RapidRoute 2.0 pegboard system lets you use adjustable, modular tie-down anchors that can be moved and rotated anywhere on the pegboard. If you’ve ever struggled with fixed cable holes or zip ties, this is a big improvement.

It also supports reverse-connector motherboards from ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE, so all your power and data cables can route behind the board for an ultra-clean front look. Corsair even added nylon bristle pass-throughs instead of traditional grommets to keep cables hidden while maintaining flexibility.

Builder-friendly details and I/O ports in Corsair AIR 5400

The top I/O panel of the new Corsair case includes three USB-C ports, where two are 5Gb/s and one is 10Gb/s. Beside them is a combo audio jack and power button. Inside the box, you will find QuikTurn screws for easier fan installation, a built-in GPU anti-sag arm, and even a microfiber cloth to clean the wraparound tempered glass exterior.

Corsair is currently offering two versions of the AIR 5400, which are available in either black or white. The ARGB model and the iCUE LINK model. It’s priced at ₹18,999, which is quite reasonable considering the premium build, triple-chamber design, and included fans.

The two available variants of the Corsair AIR 5400 are:

  • ARGB version: It includes three RS120-R ARGB fans that directly connect to your motherboard for straightforward RGB and PWM control.
  • iCUE LINK version: It features three LX120-R iCUE LINK RGB reverse-rotor fans and an iCUE LINK System Hub. This setup allows single-cable connectivity and per-fan control for lighting and performance via Corsair’s iCUE software.

Both versions prioritize quiet yet powerful airflow, and the reverse-rotor design means the fans look clean and unobstructed when viewed through the glass panels.

This new triple-chamber mid-tower case is available immediately via the Corsair webstore and through authorized retailers. However, it is expected to be available in North America by late Q4 2025.
