Gaming laptops have experienced significant price increases due to recent price hikes for DDR5 RAM and SSDs. This has made it quite difficult for users to find a decent gaming laptop under Rs 100,000.
However, there are a few laptop series, such as the MSI Katana and Lenovo LOQ, that still provide decent gaming performance under Rs 100,000. In this article, I'm showcasing some of these gaming laptops. Read on to learn more.

1) MSI Katana 15 HX

The MSI Katana 15 HX is one of the best gaming laptops under the Rs 100,000 budget. It has the latest Nvidia RTX 5050, which not only has higher 8GB VRAM with faster GDDR7 memory but also supports DLSS 4 MFG feature. For those unaware, Multi-Frame Gen (MFG) can quadruple a supported game's frame rates to deliver ultra-smooth visuals.
This laptop is also equipped with a powerful HX-class CPU. Therefore, you will get really great performance in not just gaming but also in productivity. It also has a decent battery life despite featuring a high-performance processor.
2) MSI Katana A15 AI
Price: ₹81,929
The MSI Katana A15 AI is the budget variant of the more expensive model I spoke about above. However, this laptop is no slouch either. It features a powerful 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS that will take care of all your productivity and gaming needs.
Speaking of gaming, it has an Nvidia RTX 4050 6GB GPU, which is more than capable of delivering decent performance at 1080p. It is also paired with fast 16GB of DDR5 RAM to deliver a compelling performance, despite costing under 82k.
3) Lenovo LOQ 15
Price: ₹71,700
If you want a gaming laptop with a bit more reasonable pricing, then the Lenovo LOQ 15 is the one for you. It has 24GB of fast DDR5 RAM and an Nvidia RTX 3050 6GB. Therefore, the gaming performance you get will be quite good.
The design is also quite good. It looks quite streamlined and doesn't feature any obnoxious RGB design elements. The only major caveat of this laptop is its AMD Ryzen 5 7235HS CPU, which is a quad-core chip. It will hurt the performance of competitive titles, such as Counter-Strike 2, Apex Legends, and others.
4) GIGABYTE G5
Price: ₹69,900
The GIGABYTE G5 delivers what the Lenovo LOQ 15 does, and then some more. Moreover, it has a much better Intel Core i5 12500H CPU, which will satisfy your productivity and gaming needs. This laptop also has the Nvidia RTX 4050 6GB, which is also better than the RTX 3050 inside the Lenovo laptop, despite being cheaper.
All in all, the hardware is enough to deliver a decent 1080p gaming experience. The only caveat is that the RAM is DDR4 instead of the newer and faster DDR5. However, the general gaming performance should still be fine.
5) Acer Nitro V
Price: ₹59,900
The Acer Nitro V is one of the cheapest gaming laptops available on the market. It costs under 60k, yet it delivers a compelling performance. It has a 6-core Ryzen 5 6600H and an Nvidia RTX 3050 to deliver a decent gaming performance. Also, this is the 6GB variant of the RTX 3050 instead of the 4GB, which is rare to see, as it costs so little.
The design of the Acer Nitro V series has never been too good, but it is not so bad either. The build quality is plastic, but it is sturdy. Essentially, you will get a decent experience.
Final Thoughts
The MSI Katana 15 HX and Katana A15 AI are both great gaming laptops, but they are also quite costly. If you want something a bit more affordable, then the Lenovo LOQ 15 and GIGABYTE G5 are also great options. However, if you have a tight budget, the Acer Nitro V also delivers a compelling performance.
